" A Place to Live and Thrive "

Support Our Homestead

At Our Homestead, everything starts with a question shared by hundreds of families in New Hampshire: What will happen to adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) when we’re no longer here to care for them?

Five families came together because they realized the same truth — there simply aren’t enough stable, community‑based housing options. Waiting lists are long, supports are inconsistent, and too many adults are left without the safety and belonging they deserve. So, these families decided to build the solution themselves — not just for their own children, but for other families facing the same fear.

Our founding team brings both lived experience and professional expertise in social work, education, nonprofit leadership, and disability advocacy. We understand the system, the gaps, and the people at the heart of this mission.

Our Homestead is creating a sustainable, community‑integrated home where adults with IDD can thrive for a lifetime.

Your support turns this vision into reality — from securing land to opening doors. Together, we can build a home that lasts, and future families can trust.
